As anyone who followed my NFT adventure during 2021 knows, it was a learning experience! Some of what i learned included; 1) Crypto Taxes are a PITA. 2) You should try to mate a given style of art with a like-minded NFT marketplace (i.e. think Niche, i was able to sell over 200 1/1’s) for maximum impact. 3) and for now, i’m spending some time soul searching and rethinking priorities/desires with what/why i’m doing art anyway…
My initial thought is that i was getting such enjoyment out of simply creating, BEFORE someone asked if they could buy some of my works. It was the ‘buying’ that buggered things up for this happily retired, don’t need any ‘extra’ income creator. < That might sound silly/crazy, but the current state of the US Tax code took the fun out of selling.
