Below are a few sample images from various “seasons” in my life I utilized different PC based applications to create 3D Designs and digital art.
From 2018 through 2020 I downsized my setup and utilized an iPad Pro 12.9 as my wife and I spent two years traveling in our two-van-caravan mentioned in the “Rigs” category. By October of 2020 our Tiny House on foundation was complete and i was able to go full on windows graphics PC while still continuing our journey in Minimalism. Oh how i missed having access to the awesome programs i enjoyed prior to our VanLife adventure!
From ~1990 through 2017 I had access to desktop PC’s running Mac OS and Windows. During that time one of my favorite graphic programs was VUE by e-on software. It is the same software utilized in many studios to create worlds (Avatar’s Pandora for instance) for motion pictures. One of my doodles is below…
“Above the clouds” It was fun creating the fog and lighting…and even stocking the koi pond.
Along the lines of creating worlds…
During a decade long period I spent time creating, maintaining, and visiting several online communities such as CyberTown, Kaneva, Outerworlds, OS Grid, Second Life, my user name in-world was Accrete which lined up with my old-now-sold domain of Accrete.com. It was a fun ride though I realized that my future plans of spending weeks or months at a time without a fast connection to the internet (which is a must for these worlds/communities) I decided to wind down my time at these communities. The last real project brought me all the way back to the “Floating Islands” theme that was loosely based on the first image above titled “Above the Clouds” I created in Vue so many years ago. Here are two screen shots I took in world of my “Floating Island” that also had an invisible floor support that allowed for some fun dance parties with fellow virtual-world travelers. There are times I miss the spontaneous gatherings and live chats, but what’s a guy to do that has a dream to travel with his wife/BFF ! Take one for the team and enjoy the journey. Here are those screen shots:
I spent about a year doodling in a fun program called Daz Studio. Below is a small sampling of work I did in DS.
I have always liked pointed ears…way before I saw my first Vulcan : )
floating above the clouds enjoying a sunset…
and of course I would do a van scene or two! This one was created with my wife & my first Van venture in mind so many years ago now. Fun memories.
==>> Now a few from the archives that I did in a seriously old, but still favorite, go-to graphic program called Jasc Paint Shop Pro…and in 2020 i updated to PSP 64bit 🙂
One of my favorite graphic-doodle pastimes…creating Celtic knots.
I will be adding more 3D art on a near daily basis which get listed on this site’s front page. Also, be sure to check out my other “Pinned” art over at my Pinterest Page!
Enjoy.
