I was cleaning up some directories on one of my older domains and i came across several of my virtual reality worlds. This is seriously old school stuff, though i’m surprised at how fun it was to get inside them and look around. The world i’m linking to in this post is called Avalon Lounge and was created in a text editor and the furniture in a simple 3d modeling program circa 1997 or so…hard to believe i created this 20+ years ago! The only change i made for this post was update the welcome image seen in the entry to reflect my current blog and twitter contact info.
If you choose to go in the vrml world and look around you will need a free browser extension that can view the .wrl file. I use Cortona for this purpose. Here is a direct link to the Cortona download page:

Once you have Cortona open, copy the link below to the Avalon Lounge vrml world. Then paste the link into the URL field of the Cortona browser. Yea, i know, old school…but that is how we rolled back in-the-day in the Outerworlds 🙂 https://tuesdaytangents.com/vr/lounge/Avalon_Lounge.wrl
Have fun in 3d bumping into walls and furniture, & don’t get too close to the center power grid, you might glow! Oh, and the M&Ms might be a tad stale, and drinks a wee bit flat. They’ve been there for twenty years.
