Once upon a time my MacGirlver of a wife made a really cool chuck box for our camp.
It was made out of two recycled wine crates, some hinges, nails, and glue and some other stuff…

For nearly four years it was brought out of the van and set on a table in camp on every adventure we had even when we pulled the Parkliner trailer behind the van (it had a full kitchen inside). Rain, snow, sun…We really like cooking outside!
As we continued to refine the camp setup we wanted a simpler solution to the outside kitchen. We had decided to sell the Parkliner and I had researched having Aluminess bumpers and boxes installed. There was the option of a ~20″ locking cube and I thought this would be an option to replace the chuck box and its table. Here are two images of the bumper mounted box:

We have been able to place all non-food kitchen related items in this box. There is nothing inside that would attract wildlife. All utensils, pots/pans, mugs, etc are cleaned before placing back into box. This should prove to be a useful addition to camp.
